BUAV stance on vivisection after Peter Singer's comments on BBC documentary

Dear all,

I had written to the British Union for the Abolition of

Vivisection seeking to understand their position in the wake of Peter

Singer's comments on the BBC documentary last month. This is the reply I

received. I have not included Peter Singer's clarification since it has

already been posted.

Dear ,

Many thanks for your email. The BUAV's stance on animal experiments remains

the same as it ever was. We are completely abolitionist. Our views are not

tied to that of Professor Singer or other individuals connected to the

movement. Professor Singer has since clarified his position. In case you

have not seen it, here is his letter to the Observer which clarifies what
