Guest guest
Dear all, I had written to the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection seeking to understand their position in the wake of Peter Singer's comments on the BBC documentary last month. This is the reply I received. I have not included Peter Singer's clarification since it has already been posted. Best wishes, Yours sincerely, RE: BUAV STANCE AFTER PETER SINGER'S COMMENT Tue, 19 Dec 2006 11:26:39 -0000 info [image: Add to Address Book]Add to Address Book <javascript:document.frmAddAddrs.submit()> " Ghosh " <shubhoghosh Dear , Many thanks for your email. The BUAV's stance on animal experiments remains the same as it ever was. We are completely abolitionist. Our views are not tied to that of Professor Singer or other individuals connected to the movement. Professor Singer has since clarified his position. In case you have not seen it, here is his letter to the Observer which clarifies what was meant by his comments. All the best, *Kerry Morgan* *Information Officer* BUAV 16a Crane Grove London N7 8NN Tel: +44 (0) 20 7700 4888 Fax: +44 (0) 20 7700 0252 *Working to create a world where nobody wants or believes we need to experiment on animals*
