Dear Nilesh and PAWS Team,

Good to hear about your elephant care training, best wishes !

Well lets talk business straightaway.

I have come to know through some reliable sources that the Bollywood

Bustards are once again planning to hop on to some of these

unfortunate jumbos in Mumbai into yet another elephant polo tamasha.

As you know that this age is a different age for animal welfare and

animal rights: Its the age of NETWORKING.

Therefore if PAWS believes in NETWORKING, and not the I, ME, MYSELF

attitude, then there is much for us to be proud of.

You have in your newsletter expressed that you were guided by none

other than Madam Suparna Ganguly of CUPA, a lady who is perhaps one

of the most respected persons as far as elephant welfare in this

country is concerned. I am sure she must have taught you all the good

things and how to fight in ending the captive elephant abuse in India.

But my dear Nilesh, it is sad when people like Ms Suparna Ganguly do

not get the deserving support from the younger generation.

I do not know why those trained in elephant research in PAWS decided

to stay quiet during the protests ?

Anyways, it is still not late. Please do not have any hard feelings

as I always beg for networking, and begging for the captive elephants

is never undignified. So I take this opportunity to beg for your

assistance in NETWORKING, so get better results, and faster.

This time since the elephant polo has been planned in your city, can

we expect PAWS or you to extend support to protest against ?? We can

plan our strategy once I know your answer.

Last time we were grateful to PETA, PFA-Haryana,G-SPCA, RAW and

Ranjit for Animals activists who took the advanmtage of being near to

Jaipur and could carry out demonstrations, file a patition etc on the

ground.

I would like to know if PAWS is United against Elephant polo, and if

NOT, WHY ??

Please consider this as urgent, I am quite hopeful that your answer

shall be YES, because you have seen for your self, how captive jumbos

are treated in this country and I am sure even your heart cries out

when you see them exploited for entertainment ( ankush or no ankush

does not matter).

Dear Nilesh,

I am so happy my friend to know of your opinion.

Really sorry, if in any ways I offended you with my views, but since

I often got to hear from you on AAPN but during the polo match,

there was silence on your part, and now that something was comming up

in Mumbai, I thought might as well ask you. Thanks for clearing the

misunderstanding. I am also including PAWS on the website

www.stopelephantpolo.com, in the " United We Stand " section.

It is also nice to know that Ashok Kumar of WTI also extended its

support to Shri Naresh Kadyan on elephant polo campaign.

The more the better.

Actually you know AAPN is in our blood and I feel its nothing else

but a big family. So I sent you the mail on AAPN seeking your opinion.

I am sure together we all will certainly draw the curtain on elephant

polo in India soon.

Its great to see you recover, best wishes to you and PAWS.

Regards,

Azam Siddiqui
