Guest guest
The good news is you'll have an opportunity to fight the forces of evil. The bad news is you're about to watch one of PETA's scariest films ever …created by award-winning advertising company Proximity, this frightful flick is a spine-tingling tale of terror and torture. Want to know the scariest thing of all? 'Dancing' bears in Pakistan and India are mercilessly mutilated just like this when they are barely a year old. Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7uG7dMfet8 Ready to fight those forces of evil we mentioned before? *Just forward this chilling video to as many people as you know and help to expose the cruelty behind 'dancing' bear acts. * No animal should have to 'bear' this type of abuse. Never patronize a roadside bear show. If you see tourists encouraging such a show, speak to them about the cruelty. If you see a bear being forced to dance, report the incident to the closest police station. Even though it is illegal to capture bears in both India and Pakistan, there are still more than 1,600 sloth bears being forced to dance for money by * madaris*. Bear cubs who are barely one year old squeal in agony as red-hot needles are jabbed through their noses and thick ropes are forced through the throbbing wounds. When the ropes are tugged, the bears lift their legs and 'dance'. Most of their teeth are pulled out, and they are forced to perform for up to 12 hours a day. Bears are 'trained' to dance through a regime of pain and starvation. Many cubs die before the training begins because of the stress of capture, the terrible transportation conditions, starvation, dehydration, and rough handling. Although they live up to 30 years in the wild, 'dancing' bears rarely live more than eight years in captivity. Want to do more for dancing bears? Besides *forwarding this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7uG7dMfet8) to everyone you know*, you can write polite letters to the environmental ministers of Pakistan and India and urge them to enforce laws that prevent bear baiting and prosecute * madaris*. Rochelle -- Everyone dies. Jesus died. Buddha died. What does that say about everyday folks like me and you? The question is NOT if we are going to die. The question is How are we going to die. Shall we die consumed with selfishness and it's fear, regret and aggression? Or do we choose to die in peace and it's insight, love and joy? That is a good way to die. Couldn't that also be a great way to live? --- Ning's Space: http://www.myspace.com/vegannizzy --- Ning's Blog: http://pureanimalheart.wordpress.com --- " An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory. Guest guest
Tuesday, May 08, 2007 7:31 AM Re: Action Alert: Help 'Dancing' Bears in India and Pakistan! If someone wrote a sample letter I'd certainly send it in and I sign every petition that comes my way, but when people send stuff to aapn asking to help by writing letters sadly I don't have the time to do it. I'm being honest here so that in future people who ask might also want to put in a sample letters to send for others like me, who I know for a fact are out there, very busy people doing their bit for animals whilst also trying to make a living. Keep up the good work. Best regards Nikki - NARESH KADYAN Ning B. Cc: easyVeganAlerts ; animalsinneed ; AAPN Monday, May 07, 2007 7:36 PM Re: Action Alert: Help 'Dancing' Bears in India and Pakistan!
