Guest guest
Dear All, I had posted a letter on AAPN sometime back highlighting the fact that none of the animal welfare NGOs or Individuals or AWBI etc have been included as a member in the elite list of Government of India constituted National Disaster Committee, see link below: http://www.ndmindia.nic.in/committee/Committee.htm Does anyone here on AAPN have any idea of some kind of a request or proposal made by them in this regard to include people from the animal welfare organisations etc to be included by the Government in the committee ? Floods and cyclones are on the rise not only in the Southern and western regions of India but even in the Northeastern region the Brahmaputra is flowing much higher than the danger level submerging a lot of villages and embankments already. Any organisation willing to send volunteers or setting up a temporary base in this vulnerable region to attend the flood rescues and treatment of cattle livestock and wildlife can shoot your mails to me, I would be glad to put them in touch with the Disaster Management people in Assam and elsewhere and other officials and also make necessary arrangements within my capacity. Thanks, Azam Siddiqui
