Guest guest
Dear Sirs/Madams, As animal advocates we feel the urgent need to express our anger and opposition against the appaling practices that are still held in China, involving dogs' slaughter in order to be used for food and animals' killing for their fur. While in most of the countries everyday hundreds of people fight in order to improve our four-legged friends' living conditions ans speak up for their welfare, China fails tragically to follow these movements and insists to allow such brutalities to take place. As a country, which has the ambition to keep a good reputation internationally and wants to hold a successful organisation of Olympic Games, China must immediately take care of the matter, so that animal protection laws are not only voted but also corectly applied. Slaughtering dogs for food is no more a necessity for people to survive while the abuse of any animal for any reason constitutes an immoral action which can not be excused with arguments like tradition. We urge your country to take immediately action so these brutalities to stop once and forever. Sincerely yours, Maria and Katerina Nika, Greece
