Guest guest
Margaret, I think you hit the nail on the head! I hadn't thought of the in gained need to be polite and how uncomfortable I feel eating in front of people who aren't eating too! That explains alot of things, I am glad you pointed it out. This past week I was sent out on an audit, and the in charge auditor decided where we would eat. I went along with everyone and got the buffet. It wasn't until some one looked up from their pile of pizza that they realized I was still only eating raw. I had piled up the salad items and was eating away with every one else. :-) The in charge apologized and asked if it was hard to stick to my " diet " ? I said nope, and that was the end of it. Everyone when back to eating.... I think as I get more settled into this new way of life the people around me are adjusting a little too. Its not such a novelty to them any more. Which is a good thing if you ask me! Your roommate is lucky to have some one she can ask questions about cultural differences.... I can only imagine the look on the woman's face when she took half the sandwich. lol! Leah . Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business.
