Guest guest
Mike...........Lemon balm is usually made into a tea. It does have theraputic properties. It helps digestion, alieves nausea and vomiting and is healing to liver, spleen, kidneys and bladder. As a poultice, it can be used for insect stings, animal bites and applied to a boil, will bring it to a head and allow it to break easily. Also may be used as a toothache remedy. It doesn't have a powerful flavor so you may want to mix it with other teas......or raspberry juice? Other herbs that tend to take over your garden are feverfew, mint and comfrey among others. It's a shame that most people view these plants as " weeds " and pests because they are truly God's medicine for the human race. Best of health and happy gardening to you...........Betsy Mike Elliot <mmelliot wrote: Anyone have some recipes for Lemon Balm? We have some we planted under our raspberry bushes that have taken over and need to go. I would rather do something useful with them other than composting :-) Thanks, -Mike
