Guest guest
Someone posted that they missed tea. I make sun tea with fresh mint leaves that tastes incredible! It is nothing like tea from a bag, it tastes alive and it is very satisfying, like eating food is, not like just drinking to quench thirst. You can make sun tea by soaking mint leaves in water and leaving it out in the sun for a day or so, then strain the mint leaves off and sweeten with agave nectar if desired. If you leave it out too long it will sour, but I think it depends a lot on how hot it is, so I couldn't tell you exactly how long is too long. I've left it out for 2 days before, but it was only 75 to 80 degrees out. In 90 to 100 degrees, I think it might have to be a shorter time, but I don't know, it's just a guess. Anyway, let me know how it goes if you try it! Denise Thomas P.S. You can also make sun tea with tea bags and although it is not quite as marvelous as fresh mint leaf tea, it is better tasting than hot tea cooled imo! Enjoy!
