Guest guest
HI Everybody, I am a stay at home mum, with 4 children (6,4,2,and 8 months), which we are homeschooling. I have read alot about raw food for the last 3 weeks and am ready to take the plunge as it all makes so much sense!!! QUESTION: Can I start 100% raw or do I need to wean myself into it? I understand there will be a detox period and cravings, but that is all part of it I am sure. When people say 80% raw, what does that mean exactly? Also, my baby is exclusively breastfed. I want to start him on raw. Is this all right to do? Besides, avocado, soft fruits etc, what else do I give him? A dietician friend of mine, said the raw diet is not good for my children as there will be deficiencies. Can I give my children raw all day and maybe a fresh salad, with maybe rice or potatoes for dinner? There are just so many conflicting opinions, so I thought I would ask the experts!! Thank you for your time Hinarera Lambert (From NZ, living in Australia) P.S What would be a good beginners book for me?
