Guest guest
Hi, everyone, I thought some of you might be interested in a conference I¹ve been working on, The Conference for Conscious Living, which is sponsored by EarthSave Chicago and the Vegan Society at the University of Chicago. It is a daylong conference on Saturday, November 3 from 9 am 4 p.m. at Ida Noyes Hall at the University of Chicago, 1212 E. 59th Street. Tickets are $30 - $40 in advance. It¹s going to be a fantastic day! It will be our region¹s most significant conference on compassionate and healthy living of the last several years. Of particular interest to those on the board, there will be free child care. The speakers will be Howard ³the Mad Cowboy² Lyman, Dr. Milton Mills from PCRM and leaders from Humane Society of the U.S., Farm Sanctuary, Worldwatch Institute, and Feminists for Animal Rights; they will be speaking about the effects of animal agriculture on global warming, the connections between the animal advocacy movement and other enduring social justice movements, the false promise of humanely and organically raised animal products, and how humans' natural revulsion to blood and gore point to a natural tendency toward vegetarianism. Also included in the day is a Compassionate Living Fair to discover wonderful vegan foods and treats as well as a plethora of healthy, eco-friendly and locally-produced products and great nonprofit groups. Meet scores of like-minded people, and learn how you can help make the world a more humane, healthy place. You'll even leave with an organic " goodie bag " filled with samples of healthy vegan products and other treats. Tickets are available now at http://www.EarthSaveChicago.com. For questions, please call us at 312-924-1801 or email at info.
