Guest guest
Most non-organic dairy has growth hormones. Ben and Jerry's ice cream is one of the notable exceptions. liza <lirocheus wrote: I received this by e mail and I wanted to share it with you. WOW!! I LOOKED THIS UP ON SNOPES AND ITS " PRETTY MUCH " TRUE. THE GOVERNMENT PROBABLY JUST WANTS YOU TO NOT BE AWARE . PERSONALLY....I WON'T BUY ANYMORE. WAL-MART MILK: Just in case any of you shop at Wal-Mart like me, you might want to reconsider buying their Milk after reading this... Please read this and pass along to as many people as you can think of. Mitzi Lyons and her husband Kyle live in Gainesville, TX. Their daughter, Marissa, has been experiencing menstrual problems (bleeding every day) for three years and within the last year; she started producing milk (lactating). They have performed every test, every surgery, put her on birth control and in January were scheduled to undergo a hysterectomy. NEVERTHELESS, Mitzi's dad started researching his granddaughter's condition on the internet found out about RBST in milk. RBST is a hormone injected into cows to produce more milk. Wal-Mart Great Value milk contains RBST and is the brand that the Lyons family has used for years. Three months ago, they pulled Marissa off Great Value Milk and she quit bleeding and lactating. Her doctors in Houston are going to write a medical journal discovery about her case, because the FDA says that RBST is safe. Mitzi asked me to please share this with everyone I could think of to I hope that save someone the pain and suffering that Marissa has endured. I have pulled my family from Wal-Mart Great Value milk and bought Borden instead. Borden has a label on their milk that states that RBST is not used on their cows. Please pass this on...... Guest guest
I know this story sounds awful and alarming and it was posted out of concern, but.... the lead in to this email " I just looked this up on snopes and it's pretty much true " is a stretch. Because I actually did just look it up on snopes and it is debatable whether this really happened and if it did whether it can be concluded that it was caused by the milk, or whether buying a different brand is any better. far be it from me to defend " Mal Wart " OR rBGH OR the consumption of ANY dairy products by anyone other than calves. on top of what snopes has posted concerning this - ALL cow's milk contains 50+ hormones -whether it's organic or not. that's how baby cows go from 60 to 600 lbs in a matter of months. cows not given rBGH may still be given tons of antibiotics or other drugs, unless it's organic. and even if it's organic it could be infected with bovine leukemia or other bacteria and viruses and possibly even mad cow prions. and cow's milk has been linked to the rise in diabetes, breast cancer, prostate cancer etc. there are more reasons why it is unhealthy for humans to consume cow's milk (not to mention the health of the cows and the planet), so there's no reason to spread spam that stretches the truth and indirectly implies that there is such a thing as healthy cow's milk for people. Thanks. Peace, D

Guest guest
and cow's milk has also been linked to the ear infections so common in small children now as reported in an article in The Boston Globe which people conveniently ignored. danitamark wrote: I know this story sounds awful and alarming and it was posted out of concern, but.... the lead in to this email " I just looked this up on snopes and it's pretty much true " is a stretch. Guest guest
D, I had no intention to spread spam. I do not consume dairy for all the reasons you've already mentioned. I just wanted people's opinion on this, so, I have yours now. Thanks.
