The 20,000 sq feet cemetery is exclusively for cats and dogs, said Kong Lian Yew, a senior marketing manager of the NV Multi Group, who mooted the idea of setting up a pet cemetery after burying his pet dog Fifi last year. As many pet owners were children, Kong said he designed the cemetery with a children's theme park in mind. In memory: The public having a look at the design of the entrance to the pet cemetery at the Nirvana Memorial Park in Semenyih on Wednesday. For RM6,800, workers will pick up the remains of the animal from home, place it in a sealed body bag and send it to the cemetery where specialists would disinfect the body before placing the animal into a specially-made coffin. The animal will be buried within 24 hours and a tombstone will be erected. The cemetery is offering a promotional price of RM4,800. Kong said that 16 burial plots had been sold so far.
