Guest guest
Dear All, Some more good news from Assam. Please read the news report below. A river beach festival is using elephants and horses for joy rides. Well, it may not be appropriate to use them for joy rides too but then this is a state which used to traditionally organise elephant races, football, mock fight, tug of war between elephants and other animals during this season. all of that is slowly comming to an end and this is a wonderful news for animal welfare in this state. I am sure even this joy ride will soon be a thing of the past here in Assam. Again a food for though to the other states of India who patronize cruel animal sports. regards, Azam Siddiqui ------------------------------ Link: http://www.assamtribune.com/scripts/details.asp?id=jan1907\City Karmanasha fest to offer a taste of Asom hospitality Our Sports Correspondent GUWAHATI, Jan 18 – Players and officials scheduled to arrive for the ensuing 33rd edition of the National Games are certainly in for a real taste of Asom's hospitality.
