Guest guest
Urban monkeys need to be relocated - The Malay Mail 18th Jan 2007 Dear Editor, I READ about the monkeys in Batu Tiga, Shah Alam, and I am not surprised. I am a regular customer of the Batu Tiga Shell petrol station and use the road daily. Most customers enjoy seeing the monkeys at the station as they are not violent. Many of them feed the monkeys and I am one who think kindly of them. But sadly, some people disregard their responsibilities to the environment. They destroy the monkey's natural habitat for the sake of development. Many times I have seen these monkeys mowed down by cars on the highway. These monkeys need a proper place to live and I am glad to hear the Wildlife Department will be relocating them to a safer place. I hope this happens soon.
