Guest guest
I was just reading through some of the saved digests from this group. I am sadly way behind on my reading here and the topics were basting sauces for grilling veggies. Since it is summer and we are all still chillin' & grillin', I thought I would share one of my favorite dipping sauces. This is a gem recipe from my Hawaiian Veg recipe cards. It is so simple, but that is the beauty of it. I love dipping grilled veggies in this and it is also wonderful for tempura veggies. I have used it as a basting sauce while grilling, too. Enjoy! Shoyu-Daikon sauce 2 Tbs shoyu (aka soy sauce) 1/4 cup daikon/ radish, grated Combine ingredients and mix well. Let stand for a couple of hours for a zestier flavor. Makes 2 to 3 servings *Great dipping sauce for fried tofu or veggies. ~ PT ~ There was an Old Woman lived under the hill And if she's not gone, she lives there still. ~ traditional British rhyme
