Respected all,

Today a PIL on animal related issues which was filed by Naresh Kadyan,

Chairman - PFA HARYANA came up for hearing before the Hon'ble Mr. Chief

Justice Jain & Mr. Justice Grover here at Punjab & Haryana High Court,

Chandigarh, notice of motion issued for 10-10-2007 by the Division Bench to

the Union/ Punjab/ Haryana & UT Chandigarh Govt. to reply.

In brief : The Central Govt. issued a notification to declare Wildlife

trophies in 2003 but till date all application were not disposed off by

these Govt.'s, The Govt. of Punjab issued another notification to declare

sch. 2,3 & 4 wild trophies & this is the only State in the Country who

issued such notification, addresses of the applicant were not verified along

with the source.

Animals are left as a stray , there is a provisions of Infirmaries, Central

Govt issued notification about slaughter houses, dog rules - 2001 along with

a certificate is necessary before transporting a animal, Haryana Govt.

issued notification to handle the stray cattle/ formed a Infirmaries but all

are not working / implemented well, there is a provision for constitute a

Wildlife Advisory Board along with the Hon. Wildlife wardens but in Haryana

- there is nothing since last 10 years & so on.
