On Monday, as the Christmas revellers thronged the Sipahijala zoo, they were pleasantly surprised to face two big cats yawning in leisure after their three-day caged travel from Bihar to Tripura. The two Royal Bengal tigers, which are still in cage, would soon be released into a walled area with adequate water body for their free movement and swim. " Dipu and Chili (two Royal Bengal tigers) would be separated soon for treatment as they are tired due to hectic journey from Chandigarh to Agartala " , said an official of the Sipahijala Zoo. In turn, Tripura have given nine animals to Chandigarh Zoo authority, said Wildlife Warden cum DFO Rajat Das. " Efforts are also being taken to make Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary an ideal breeding ground of tigers " , he said adding that it has already earned goodwill in the breeding process. Among others, Forest Minister Jitendra Choudhury and Additional PCCF VK Bahuguna welcomed the two Royal Bengal tigers. Later, Forest Minister said a female rhinoceros would be brought to Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary from Asom.
