I got a dehydrator from someone on this list (which I am really happy with), and there's got to be a way to do this that is not detrimental to health!! I made normal carrot cake tonight for someone else, and analyzed the ingredients and there is NO way I can eat it .. it will make me sick 150% guaranteed. But I LOVE carrot cake! Also if a raw recipe was so that S.A.D. people couldn't tell the difference, it would be great, because this is for my job for caregiving .. and I am trying to acquire the knowledge I need to feed these people, but they are incredulous that I eat raw food. Other things I would be interested in would be palatable ways to fix kale, cauliflower, spinach, or asparagus. My challenge is to incorporate things into my diet that I hate. I just ordered Victoria Boutenko's Green for Life, and it is on its way, and that will help. I did one of her recipes and it turned out fine - and the first time I have ever voluntarily eaten kale! It was with pears and kale and mint. I got it off of a website....Frederick Patenaude, I think. It wasn't bitter like I think kale is... just kinda mellow sweet, minty. I would put the proportions, but I don't know .. is that allowed? Another one - does anyone have a raw alternative for Hawaiian Sweet Bread? I made it for someone the other day, had some, and it didn't make me feel good. I want to be 100% raw, but it is hard because I care for people, and really, to make things turn out good, I need to taste them as I am making food.
