Guest guest
Further to the point of needing to sterilize at least 70% to see results, people often ask, " Why include males in your sterilization effort when the idea is to reduce the population, and it is the females who give birth? " The answer is, males actually cause most of the problems that result in people wanting to kill dogs and cats, fighting, making noise, roaming where they are not wanted, making scent mounds, etc. You can ignore them until the fed-up people kill them en masse, creating a population void to be filled by more puppies and kittens surviving from each litter, or you can start the process sooner by moving immediately to bump them off, or you can fix them, solve most of the behavioral problems thereby, and have a lot of fat lummoxes sitting around drinking beer & watching TV instead of reproducing, occupying the carrying capacity so that it isn't filled by anyone else's offspring. The same process occurs with dogs, cats, and the human population. -- Merritt Clifton Editor, ANIMAL PEOPLE P.O.
