Guest guest
I was hoping this group could help. My husband just had 5 stints put in his heart and is actually seroiusly talking about going vegan. He was a strict meat eater so this would be a huge change. He is very limited in the foods he likes. Previously he would only eat lettuce, meat, potatoes, bread, pizza, spaghetti, cheese. Nothing wet like soups or sauces except for spaghetti. He doesn't like cooked veggies but has been eating raw carrots, celery, spinach, lettuce and broccoli since discharged from the hospital. Can anyone recommend some dishes or books that would be good for a heart patient. Maybe some dishes that sound like he might enjoy them? Basically he needs low-fat, no cholesterol, heart healthy eating. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
