The animal shelter, established by the Chinese animal lover couple Chen Mingcai

and Deng Xuemei, is located at the couple's rented house with some 262 dogs.

 

The couple have become impoverished after they sold their house for adopting the

stray dogs. The expense on dogs takes over 12,000 yuan (about USD 1,517) per

month.
