As of last week, cattle on this property has been, according to the caretaker of the establishment, injured by hacking of the head and the front legs. This week thus far, the neighbouring property has initiated physical abuse of at least a volunteer and one of the workers of this establishment. Those injured had to check into a hospital for treatment. I was told as a result of this, the Police was involved briefly, having taken testimony. Unfortunately, the neighbour had gone ahead and locked down all water supply to this animal establishment blackmailing water supply for a change in the testimonies of those injured. Empathy and respect towards all animals, including cattle has been reflected poorly in HK it seems. Just this morning in the newspaper, a report of a rush of dog-bashing occurred in CHINA for the reason of control of rabies-infected dogs. Please be an animal lover and spread the word. Have an otherwise bash-free day. Lucy Shum BVSc.
