Let me introduce you to Ms. Robin Diallo, 1st Secretary, Public

Affairs Section, American Embassy, New Delhi.

If newspaper reports are to be believed, Ms Diallo loves taking part

in elephant festival of Jaipur, Rajasthan because she gets to ply the

colour of 'HOLI' riding on an 'elephant'.

Well, it may seem quite normal for her to be doing so, considering the

fact that people have been allowed to do such things for many years in

that state. In fact this event and other events involving elephant

abuse are promoted in the highest order by the state government which

draws many hundreds and thousands of tourists there.

But lady Dimello is not just an ordinary person. She holds a

responsible position in the American Embassy here and has been quite

instrumental in being a party to discussions and speeches on the

'Environmental' and understanding about the Mother Earth right here in

India.

At the Globe Teachers Orientation Workshop ,organized by the Indian

Environmental Society, co-organized by the Public Affairs Section,

American Embassy, New Delhi and Supported by the The Ministry of

Environment and Forests, Govt. of India she gave a speech which can be

read here:

http://www.iesglobal.org/globe-teachers-workshop.htm

If this is not a case of embarrassment for the American Embassy

officials to be going around in this way, at least it is a shame for

the environmental organizations and the Ministry of environment and

Forests to be inviting such personalities of double standards to to be

a party to serious discussions.

There are better things 'CELEBRITIES' should consider doing if at all

they truly mean what they preach.
