Guest guest
I haven't tried it, Mike, and after what you went through, I'm even more determined not to. I don't supplement at all except for an occasional B-12 lozenge. I believe, if done optimally, the raw food lifestyle is the answer to most, if not all, our " ills " . Guest guest
Been taking zeolite for a few months with no adverse reactions. However, I do not eat what you eat. I have been 100% raw since June 20 and have been taking the drops since June 1. Even in the beginning I had no problems. Shari
Guest guest
Mike........I've never even heard of NCD but am sure anything man-made, developed, processed, encapsulated, etc. is just a vehicle for someone to make a commission. You can chelate heavy metals by taking cilantro and somewhere around here, I have a great recipe of cilantro blended with other raw veggies specific for heavy metal chelation which I will post to this list as soon as I can find it. Constipation, I've discovered is best treated by " discovering what works best for your individual constitution " . For me (and most people) that would be taking a big glass of water every morning upon arising then have a kiwi fruit. Kiwis are loaded with vitamin C. They also have more potassium than a banana and are the most nutrient dense fruit there is. For immediate relief from cramps, there's an old Indian remedy. (I learned it from an old Indian.) Sip 2 ounces of cognac........if you are able to tolerate spirits. But really, kiwis are just wonderful for keeping you regular. Very best to you.......Betsy Mike Elliot <mmelliot wrote: I don't know if any of you have had a similar experiences, but when I am living raw and then go out someplace where raw isn't much of an option and eat something heavy like pasta (for some reason wheat seems to be particuarly bad for me) and don't drink a lot of extra water, I will wake up in the middle of the night with really bad cramps which tends to last for a couple of hours. I take this as my bodies way of letting me know I have acted in error and discouraging me from making the same mistake again :-) I had a similar experience Sunday night which I would like to share. I am in a raw pot-luck group where some of the members having been talking about 'Natural Cellular Defense'. It is a dietary supplement made from zealite which is supposed to pull the heave meatals from your body. You are supposed to take 10 drops/3 times a day for the first month and then 3 drops/3 times a day thereafter. I started with the 10 drop dosage and it was causing some constipation and the night of the second day woke me up with cramps which lasted for an hour or so. I stopped taking it for a couple of days and started again but at the 3 drop level for 2 days, 5 drop level for 2 days and on Sunday moved it up to 7 drops. On sunday I also ate lunch at an ethipian restaurant and had the vegetarian lentil and vegetable soup, a salad, and some watermelon sorbet. Nothing very heavy and normally this type of meal would not have bothered me. I woke up at 1:30 in morning with cramps with severe cramps which lasted all night and finally went to the ER at 7:30 (had to be bad for me to resort to alleopathic medicine). They did x-rays, urine and blood tests and the only thing they found was elevated liver enzymes. Doctor suggested I stop the NCD, which I had already planned to do anyway, and sent me home. The cramps started to easy up around 11:30 but did not completely go away until later that night and my stomach didn't feel itself until I woke up on Tuesday morning. This is not an adventure I seek to repeat again. Has anyone else tried NCD? What was your experience? -Mike
