Divine intervention has cut short this year's obscene annual massacre

in the Antarctic Whale " Sanctuary " , as the Japanese were forced to

limp home, unable to meet their kill quotas. The Nisshin Maru, now a

burned out ghost ship, is TEMPORARILY out of commission.

 

This gives people who care about the suffering of cetaceans, a great

opportunity...an entire year (before the slaughter begins again) to

engage in a massive boycott of ALL THINGS JAPANESE!

Please let those who are directly involved in, and profiting from

whaling, dolphin slaughter, and captive dolphin programs, KNOW that

you and your family will be actively boycotting. Write to those MOST

responsible for these atrocities!!

no time to compose an email, then I urge you to copy and paste the

sample below...we need every person possible to get involved!

Receiving thousands of emails from individuals around the globe, as

As an American Citizen fiercely opposed to Japan's illegal, outrageous

and ongoing wholesale slaughter of cetaceans, I, my family, friends

and colleagues pledge to BOYCOTT ALL THINGS JAPANESE...including, but

not limited to Japanese cars, electronics and banking institutions.

ALL SEAFOOD PRODUCTS ARE OFF OUR MENU as well. This assures that I

will not inadvertently be contributing a single dime of my money to

your economy (or to the economies of other outlaw whaling nations such

as Norway, Denmark and Iceland, which depend heavily on their seafood

exports for survival.)

 

I pledge to research all of my purchases to make SURE that the

American companies I may wish to purchase from, are not in anyway tied

to Japan (or other whaling nations), including Wal-Mart, which holds a

38% interest in the leading Japanese retailer Seiyu Ltd.

 

The Japanese companies of Maruha, Nissui and Kyokuyo have historically

been the backbone of the whaling industry in Japan. Having hundreds of

subsidiaries between them, many located in North America, I will be

warning individuals not to purchase the following items from local

supermarkets under these brand names:

 

WESTWARD SEAFOODS (Maruha)

 

[Marine products make up 75% of Maruha's sales]

 

WESTWARD SEAFOOD PRODUCTS INCLUDE:

Edwards, Mrs. Smith's and Heidi's Gourmet Desserts frozen pies and

desserts, and an extensive line of pizza, a wide range of ethnic

foods, pouch food products and other prepared convenience foods.

 

 

TRANS-OCEAN (Maruha)

 

TRANS-OCEAN'S PRODUCTS INCLUDE:

Crab Classic, Crab Royale, Crab Supreme, Crab Deluxe, Lobster Classic,

and Jaiba Supremo. All are found in the refrigerated seafood

department of many supermarkets, club stores, and other food retailers.

 

I and other consumers, will be asking store managers NOT TO STOCK

TRANS-OCEAN OR WESTWARD SEAFOODS PRODUCTS until Japanese laws are

enacted to protect cetaceans and end their slaughter permanently!

Wholesale fresh, canned, salted, and frozen seafood.

 

 

As consumers we have a powerful voice. As long as Japan chooses to

continue perpetuating mass speciescide upon this planet, with no

regard for the rights of the creatures or nations it runs roughshod

over, consumer boycotts of Japanese products will continue...and they

will GROW.

 

Japan must put an immediate and permanent halt to the slaughter of the

world's cetaceans, and begin to implement LEGAL PROTECTIONS for ALL

cetacean species. Until dolphin drives, whaling expeditions and

captive dolphin programs are history, and Japan enacts laws protecting

cetaceans, your country is destined to suffer monumental economic losses.
