anyone in thailand knows this pitiful thai elephant antara???

i watched national geographic " elephant story " , this young fenale thai elephant

was eating grass in chiangmai's mountain after work, accidentally, she stepped

on a trap!!!! this trap cut her left forward palm into pieces, camera showed it

look like a blossom flower hanging over with a lot of blood!!! she had to move 9

miles to go back to her home, her master decided to take her to an elephant

hospital which took 7 hours by truck.......she was in great pain, and finally in

the hospital under an operation to cut part of her front limb!! that operation

was unpresidental, the whole thailand was watching the progress thru tv, thens

of the reporters were taking pix more than 24 hrs!

 

camera showed that she was not as active as b4 after the operations,! she

couldnt even stood later, doctors and nurses were worried about her deep wound!

doctor was in tears that she hoped she could recover! i hope and pray taht this

lovely and gentle elephant could recover and walk again!!!

 

but the tv programme didnt show at last if she recovered, just hope she would.

is there any thai animal lovers here can tell me she recovered from her wound

traped by human, and can walk and live again in thailand????? please!!!!!
