Guest guest
Dear All I would like to thank everybody for their help and support with respect to the killing of stray dogs by the Trivandrum Corporation. To update you all, there was a meeting with the Major of Trivandrum, plus several other Keralan Mayors, and the AWBI. During the meeting a piece of paper was produced on behalf of the Trivandrum Corporation which they say gives the judgement in case number wp© 19547 22-8-2006, the presiding judges being V.K Bali and M. Ramachandrum. According to the Mayors at the meeting this judgment gives all the authorities in Kerala the right to kill stray dogs, regardless that it is against the ABC/AR rules. The AWBI representative was unaware of any such judgement, and the courts are closed this week for holidays, so we have still not been able to see a copy of the said document. Does anybody know anything about this judgment and what it says, and is it possible that anybody could forward me a copy? The Dog killing continues in and around Trivandrum and looks to be going Kerala-wide, and there seems to be nothing that I can do to stop it. It is heartbreaking. Thank you all Avis Lyons (director of Animal Rescue Kerala)
