Guest guest
Watch the sodium, alchohol and caffiene. Before I had my daughter I had horrid PMS; I found that dong kwai (dong quay?) helped a lot. Regular exercise helps, too. --- On Wed, 2/25/09, iluvk5 <skerns wrote: iluvk5 <skerns birth control Wednesday, February 25, 2009, 8:54 PM About a month ago, I posted about going off of my birth control. Well, I did and it's time for my next period. It seems like the PMS has been really bad the past few days...wicked witch of the west! : ) Are there any natural supplements I can take to help with this the week before the period starts? I am thinking estrogen is high the week before since I'm moody, right?
Guest guest
I have noticed that my PMS and cramps are pretty bad when I have consumed cheese, eggs, or some cow milk (from a restaurant or something) I have contributed it to the extra hormones I am receiving from those foods. --- On Thu, 2/26/09, robin koloms <rkoloms wrote: robin koloms <rkoloms Re: birth control/PMS Thursday, February 26, 2009, 6:07 AM Watch the sodium, alchohol and caffiene. Guest guest
Dietary and/or body fat increases estrogen levels: http://www.cancerproject.org/diet_cancer/nutrition/fat.php Also, cruciferous vegetables can help to keep your hormones in check (and help to prevent cancer): http://www.cancerproject.org/stage/resources/handbook/section6.pdf Try to eat some broccoli, kale, rutabaga, collards, cauliflower, bok choy etc, every day. Try to eat at least 35-40 grams of fiber per day (beans are the best -- eat them every day): http://www.cancerproject.org/stage/resources/handbook/section2.pdf Good luck!
