Guest guest
okay - you all are freaking me out with the pregnant post vasectomy warnings. Do you mean he should get the usual post-vasectomy test they recommend, or that he should be retested regularly forever? My dh got tested a month or so after, and all was clear, and then I made him get tested again about a year later, and still all clear. Should I keep getting him tested at least once a year? Have you heard of people getting pregnant after the initial test was good? _____ On Behalf Of Linda Evans Thursday, January 29, 2009 12:35 AM Re: Re: birth control <http://geo./serv?s=97359714/grpId=2074869/grpspId=1705042054/msgId =18970/stime=1233239205/nc1=4025338/nc2=4836041/nc3=5170419> Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com Version: 8.0.176 / Virus Database: 270.10.15/1921 - Release 1/28/2009 7:24 PM
Guest guest
hi, I don't want to sound weird but my hubby and I have thought about going this route. Our problem is he/we have heard horrible things about how to get tested for sperm count afterwards. That is what is holding us back. How do they get the sample? You do not have to be graphic I know there are kids on here. If you want to respond to just me my email is myshadyboyz<myshadyboyz. I appreciate your input he/we are much to shy to just blurt this out to his doctor. Guest guest
About a month ago, I posted about going off of my birth control. Well, I did and it's time for my next period. It seems like the PMS has been really bad the past few days...wicked witch of the west! : ) Are there any natural supplements I can take to help with this the week before the period starts? I am thinking estrogen is high the week before since I'm moody, right?
Guest guest
It is said that your hormones change considerably every decade. I have entered a horrible decade of PMS. I ditto what the other women have said so far. Other things to consider are calcium/magnesium, eating 6 samll meals a day to help curve hunger (I get ravenous for a week before my period!), raising serotonin levels by eating a complex carb, exercising, avoiding sugary and salty foods and caffiene and getting more sleep. I also recieve acupuncture and it is starting to help with the hunger and even my moods. My acupuncturist also gave me a supplement that I have misplaced - I guess I need some gingko I am sure it contained dong quay as well as other ingredients. The reason many women crave chocolate is for the magnesium. Here are some quotes from a health website: " Chocolate is a good source of magnesium and has a high magnesium to calcium ratio (about 4:1). " " When you have levels of calcium and magnesium at the right ratio, chocolate cravings may ease, Ahlgrimm says. Magnesium is important to regulate muscle relaxation and blood sugar and to promote sound sleep - all particularly important during PMS. Magnesium also increases calcium absorption in the body. The benefits of calcium and magnesium for PMS are well supported. A study in The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology reported that 1,200 mg a day of chewable calcium carbonate reduced symptoms of PMS by nearly 50 percent. A study in The Journal of Women's Health found that 200 mg a day of magnesium reduced PMS fluid retention, breast tenderness and bloating by 40 percent. " " women typically reach for high-fat or sweet foods because they're a quick way to raise serotonin and endorphin levels...A snack of complex carbohydrates will do the same thing and may also allow the hormone progesterone to be metabolized fully...If you want to slow down absorption of the carbs, add a little oil like mayonnaise or almond butter...That will really cut your craving. Guest guest
Some of the things I've tried and seem to work are PMS tea (a lot of herbal tea companies make a version), rose hips (there are herbal rose hip pills, tinctures, etc. but my favorite way to take it is in a chocolate bar for women by Health By Chocolate... yum!), an herbal heat pack (one of those buckwheat pillows you can put in the microwave. Mine has lavendar. they're really easy to make if you don't have one. Just sew some fabric together like you're making a pillow, toss in a bunch of buckwheat and a few drops of lavendar and geranium oil, then sew shut. Microwave for a minute or two and put on your abdomen.) The other thing that really helps are some basic yoga poses that help to open up your pelvic area. Try lying down in a butterfly style pose with your heels touching. If you can lie backwards over the side of your bed or couch in that pose, or even with your legs straight, it really helps to open things up and relieve some of the cramps. Try some of the poses with the buckwheat pillow on and it's even better. Good luck. Feel better. , " iluvk5 " <skerns wrote: > > About a month ago, I posted about going off of my birth control.
