Guest guest
Dear All, The *Freedom Walk for Animals 2007 - Bangalore* that was organized by the citizens of Bangalore was the highlight of the Independence Day events here. The walk conceptualized by citizens who by the day are becoming aware that for them to live in harmony would mean to co-exist with the animals around. There is enough evidence to prove that every living being on the face of the earth has a particular role to play and anything displaced from this fragile chain would mean having to face consequences, some to be seen in our lives and others for our future generations. This rally also broke the common myth that animal lovers/ activists were available only to save the DOGS. Be it captive elephants, camels or poaching of rhinos, the people wanted to see an end to it all. *The International People for Animals Walk at Delhi* (held today, 15th of Aug) only helped to assertain this reality further that India was actually awakening....awakening to this unavoidable and bitter truth that *ITS NOT THE ANIMALS WHO NEED US, ITS WE WHO NEED THEM. * I am short of words to express my gratitude to everyone who directly or indirectly helped both these events to be such remarkable stepping stones towards the betterment in the lives of animals both non-humans and humans. Quoting a recent Indian movie hit called 'Rang De Basanti' (translated for the benefit of all) - " there are two ways you can 'spend' your life, one>> Allow things to happen as they are, don't really care about it (may be because it does not directly affect you) two >> Take up the responsibility (yourself) to bring about positive changes. " God bless you all and I wish everyone a very Happy Independence Day! Thanks, Pablo.
