Dear All,

Please find the comments of Mr. Nava Thakuria an eminent journalist

of the North eastern region of India who is also the secretary of

the GUWAHATI PRESS CLUB, based in Guwahati city, the Gateway to

Northeast India.

The views expressed by Mr. Nava Thakuria is highly commendable

considering the fact that it comes at a time when a wider section of

the press and the media is siding away with those who want homeless

dogs killed and bringing out biased news reports to project Man's

best friend as 'Monsters on the Prowl'.

I request our members to write and thank Mr. Nava Thakuria for his

words of concern towards homeless animals and Man's best friend.

Our society needs more humane and unbiased news persons like Mr.

Thakuria.

Regards,

Azam Siddiqui

Dear all,

Kukura Srigala Gadarbharo Atma Ram-the famous line of great Assamese

saint, philosopher and the greatest son of the soil, Srimana

Shankaradev defines the importance of each and every animal living

in this planet. We, the man don't have the right to harm any other

animal.

Moreover, the dog is identified as the best friend of human society

and it has received place in our great epic like Mahabharat, when

the Pandava went to heaven, the ultimate companion of Yudhisthira

was a dog.

We must not forget our heritage and should never be cruel to our

most trusted escort in the changing phases of life and living.

Media should play an important role sympathizing to the homeless

dogs in Bangalore and deal the situation with a humane face.

Nava Thakuria,

Journalist based in Guwahati, Northeast India,

Secretary, Guwahati Press Club, Guwahati-781001.

Thank you so much Madam.

It is not surprising for me to be defending the dogs as I am an

animal rights activist, but for the Press Fraternity in my region to

come out in defence of the voiceless, I feel is very heartening.

Please I request you to send a few lines in response to Mr. Nava

Thakuria, he will be extremly glad to read your mail.

Thanks,

Azam
