seeking sources for documentary film

Dear Colleague:

I'm an ethologist developing a documentary film that presents the

profound discord between what we now know about animals and our treatment of

them.

Specifically, our film aims to showcase the sensitivity, emotionality

and perceptiveness of other animals, and to stir pity and concern (perhaps

anger)about the way we continue to treat them

A more detailed synopsis is available on request.

If you have or can recommend any existing film footage that

illustrates animals' awareness, perceptiveness, emotionality, sociality,

playfulness, etc., I would appreciate hearing from you. I am happy cover any

costs of duplication, shipping and handling, etc. and will return footage if

desired.

Also, if you study animals and feel they have high filmic potential

for this project, I would be interested in discussing the possibility of sending

a film crew to your location.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Balcombe, Ph.D.
