New BUAV investigation launched

Dear Steve

Just a quick note to let you know about the launch of the BUAV's new

undercover investigation - Monkey Business.

We went undercover at the world's largest breeding farm for monkeys -

Nafovanny in Vietnam - and found shocking evidence of terrible conditions

and breached standards. Nafovanny holds up to 30,000 macaque monkeys at a

time and is little more than a factory farm, designed to produce as many

monkeys for the international research industry as quickly as possible.

We found that the farm supplies macaques to Huntingdon Life Sciences here in

the UK - and that it breaches the international guidelines on primate care

with which the UK Government is supposed to ensure that they comply.

To see what we found, visit http://www.buav.org/monkeybusiness
