Guest guest
Suzanne, This hasn't been my experience, although I have had the same problem after eating cooked food when I have been raw :-). It largely depends on how close you were to eating raw before you started this. The natural hygiene folks, will also tell you about how you combined your foods that could be part of the problem. That is not my ballywick, so I'll not discuss this here. What I do know, from my own experience and reading, is that our bodies optimize our digestion not as much on what we are currently eating as what we normally eat. I.e, it takes some time for your body to adjust to a knew diet. Gabriel Cousens (sp?) has a book which offers a transition plan from cooked to raw which might help. Don't remember the name, perhaps someone else will remember. I have also heard from some, that when you switch to a raw organic diet your body starts to heal itself, and often times it seems as if you are getting worse because you are going through a detox period. A slower transition into raw might be a good choice for you. For me, I got off white sugar and caffeine and then off white flour and then raw fruitarian and then raw vegan with minimal side effects. Frankly the biggest issue for me was the first couple of days being off sugar and caffeine the first couple of days, but after that it was smooth sailing. Again, all of our bodies are different, so your milage may vary. -Mike --- hbhsmom <hbhsmom wrote: > I have been adding raw foods to my diet. I recently ate them quite a > bit for two days in a row. Guest guest
I completely agree with the previous post that it was probably a detox symptom. I know it can be hard to continue on when you feel terrible, but I have found those detox phases to be shorter and less frequent the longer I eat raw. I try to remind myself when these symptoms are happening that its a good thing, that I want my body to rid its self of the " bad things " that have accumulated over the years. It was for a brief period of time appros 3 hours. I felt hot and had stomach cramps. After this I have been avoiding raw foods. My body wants all the whole foods I have been use to and no longer the raw. I want to change over, but I am not sure what has happened. All the great feelings with raw foods has seemed to disappear from me. Any advice? Thanks, Suzanne Integrity is one of several paths, it distinguishes itself from the others because it is the right path, and the only one upon which you will never get lost. M.H.
