Guest guest
Friday October 6, 2006-Ther Star Protect the crocodiles I AM glad that common sense has prevailed with the authorities in Sarawak stopping the capturing and butchering of innocent crocodiles from the Bako River where a young boy was killed by such a reptile and his body not recovered. (The Star, Oct 4). While I do sympathise with the father who lost his son, I cannot understand why people want to capture and kill these wild animals until the killer crocodile is captured. Crocodiles are an endangered species and should be protected from harm, and children should be warned not to play in crocodile-infested areas. HAMDAN IBRAHIM, Kuala Lumpur.
