Guest guest
This is delicious and will quench your thirst. Really goes well with a dish of Mexican food. I lived in this when I was in HOT Yucatan, Mexico. You can find the dried jamaica (hibiscus flowers) in any Latin market and some of the regular markets have it in little packets in the Latin food isle with spices. This tastes a bit little like rose hips. " Hibiscus Flower Water " or Jamaica de Aqua Fresca 2-3 quarts of water 3/4 cup dried jamaica (hibiscus flowers) 1/2 cup sugar, honey or use your type sweetener by measurement ica and garnish with orange slices Bring water to a boil. Add flowers and return to boil. Reduce to simmer and boil 7-10 mins. Stir in sugar, strain into a pitcher and refrigerate. Serve cold over ice with slices of orange as a garnish.
