Guest guest Posted December 21, 2003 Report Share Posted December 21, 2003 The two things I can suggest is... 1 - either heat the marinade and the tofu in it and let it sit for awhile like that 2 - drain the tofu really well beforehand, maybe wrap it in paper towels or kitchen towels and then put a heavy weight on it and let it weigh down for awhile, like overnight, and then take the paper/towels off and then marinate it or marinate it overnight or in hot liquid. Or cook it in the marinade. You can try these things. Any or all of those things would probably work. Just putting straight tofu in marinade and letting it sit wouldn't work because it is like a sponge and it soaks stuff in, but not cold.
