Guest guest
This came from a woman who ran an organic deli near me. She told it to me, so I'm not sure of all the amounts. I just adjust it until it tastes right. I use White Wave seitan or make my own. serene * Exported from MasterCook * Maple-Glazed Seitan Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:05 Categories : Dinner Entrees Grains Lunch Meat Substitute Vegan Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 package seitan -- in strips 1/4 cup olive oil 2 Tablespoons real maple syrup 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves 1 pinch garlic 1/2 teaspoon salt -- or 1 T soy sauce 1 onion -- halved and sliced Toss all ingredients together. Let sit for a few minutes while the broiler heats. Place on a pan (with or without foil to protect the pan) and put under the broiler for approximately 10 minutes each side, until the edges are brown and crispy, like barbecue. When the onions are almost burned, it's done. Description: " I was told this recipe in rough quantities, so adjust amounts to your taste. I have only estimated how much I use.
