If not, the cooking will take longer -- six of one, half a dozen of the other. Preheat oven to 450. Cut tofu into slabs (makes 4 if you cut on the horizontal) or strips, as you prefer. Place on a cookie sheet that has been lightly oiled or sprayed with non-stick spray. I use foil to help with cleanup, but sometimes the foil sticks to the tofu. Slather barbecue sauce on one side of the tofu, then turn it over and slather the other side. Cook until browned like barbecue, turning every 20 minutes or so and adding barbecue sauce if it looks like it needs it. Depending on the moisture of the tofu, this can take up to an hour and a half. Serve on rolls with desired condiments. We use Vegenaise, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 186 Calories; 8g Fat (38.1% calories from fat); 6g Protein; 23g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; trace Cholesterol; 660mg Sodium.
