The basic orzo recipe can be varied many ways, so it makes sense to make a double batch and have the extra on hand. Roasted vegetables, especially zucchini and eggplant, are excellent additions. 1. Heat oil and red pepper in a medium-sized skillet over high heat. When hot, onion; cook, stirring, until golden, 8 to io minutes. Stir in salt. 2. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well. Add pasta to onions; stir in whipping cream and basil. Taste and adjust salt.
