Greetings everyone!

I know brown rice is unrefined and has all the good stuff left in it. My

question is: Is this the same with Jasmine or Basmati rice? Are they

refined?

Thanks,

John

John,

You can buy brown Basmati rice at well-stocked mainstream grocery stores or

health food type stores. It is delicious, smells wonderful, and is our normal

everyday rice. You need to cook it for about 40 minutes with one cup rinsed

rice to two cups liquid. White Basmati rice is refined the same as any other

white rice.

I have never seen or looked for brown Jasmine rice.

Brown jasmine rice also exists. I've only seen it in my HFS, but I

made some last week and it was quite good. Lisa
