Hi my name is Shannon and I am new to this group.... I found this list by

accident, but it was a good thing, because my soon to be 16 year old daughter

just informed me that she no longer wishes to eat meat. I am fine with that, but

I just want to make sure she is getting enough vitamins, protein, etc. I now she

will not be totally vegan, because she likes cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc.,

but she does not like eggs or milk. As she put it " She just doesn't want to eat

dead animals anymore " .

My husband, my 4 sons and myself are all meat eaters so our main source of

protein had been from meat and it will continue to be, so I need to find some

other non meat sources of protein for my daughter.

I know dried beans (which we all like) are a good source of protein. I also know

tofu is a good source of protein, but we have never tried it. So I am open to

all suggestions.

Sorry this post was so long, and thanks for any help you can give :)
