protein source question...

I am in dire need of protein in my diet. I usually

use a soy protein mix--and that's all.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kathryn

Here's a list of foods by nutrient content from the USDA:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/SR16-1/wtrank/wt_rank.html.

For protein, the highest vegetarian thing is cottage cheese, followed by

soybeans, followed by other soft cheeses (cottage and ricotta.) The first grain

is couscous. Milk comes in there, then white beans. And so on.

If you are seriously protein deficient, consider being vegetarian rather than

vegan.
