Guest guest
Try looking for a different version period. My MC 3 works great in XP. I just bought a juicer and am sitting here grabbing some great cocktail recipes off the net for it and using 3 with XP Home when I decided to check in on the group just now. I always had problems with MC4 no matter what OS I was using so I went back to old reliable and haven't bothered buying another version. Ebay should have it somewhere. 3 should be darn cheap. Five and above might have cleared up the problem if anyone else is using a higher version maybe they can tell you. However I will testify that MC3 works just fine. BTW my niece can't use MC3 with ME [i keep telling her to buy XP] Phil Veg-Recipes , " Coolbana " <coolbana@c...> wrote: > I don't often post to this group, but love the recipes. The moderators of that list also have web sites of their own, and are former moderators of the Mastercook message board when Sierra had it. Here's a copy of one post that was made to the list. Version 4 *is* covered on the Cupboard site. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm going to remove all the HTML files I uploaded to the Files section for this group. I've found a permanent home for the content on Tripod instead. These are all the archived tips and FAQs from the old Sierra/VUG message boards. It covers all MasterCook versions. Their new home is here: http://mastercook_cupboard.tripod.com/ I was going to put the Cupboard site on my EarthLink account, however, when I go over bandwidth (people visiting the site, etc.), EarthLink will charge me extra for that. When you go over bandwidth with Tripod, they just limit the visitors and make them return later in order to " share " the bandwidth. That costs me nothing. I've also redesigned my " tips " cookbook web site. It remains here: http://mc6help.tripod.com/ It's main purpose is a place to house the " tips " cookbook and any illustrated walk-throughs that I create. It covers MasterCook versions 5 and above only. Don't forget to also bookmark PatH's web site: http://home.earthlink.net/~kitpath/
Guest guest
I run MC4 and MC7 both on one XP computer. MC8 is due on my doorstep today. I ordered from the ValuSoft webpage: http://www.valusoftsupport.com/KBArticle.asp?kbid=3692 MC user mailing list support group home page is (many experts there...feel free to join and ask questions, that's what it's there for): MastercookDiscussion MC7 -- (for those who want to upgrade cheaply) is really nice and should be available at stores at low-low prices SOON...because MC8 will be out on the store shelves any day now. MC8 has a new backup feature and some nifty way to grab recipes when surfing the web...it even grabs the photos and urls and places them into the recipe!! Fun stuff. MC is awesome! Good luck. I really miss having the software to sort my recipes. I have quite a few recipes that are only in the computer. Would like to know if Value Soft is a good company to deal with. thanks coolbana>>>>
