Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Haven't written here for a while and for the last month or so I traveled from MI to Richmond/Vancouver in B.C., Canada for a series of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments for MS. Two Chinese doctors worked on me as far as acupressure, acpuncture, energy healing, etc. I think what was said that I have a " cold system " due to slow pulse and I don't know what else so they both said " You need meat. " I don t agree with this and am going to try to find a guide or coach to help me with eating and supplementation. I have let this go on long enough and need to be more proactive than I have been. I'm aware that akaline foods are what I should be consuming; but can anyone else jump in and give me any additional good advice regarding eating anything except meat. I think I may have Salmon once in a while but would prefer to be at least vegetarian if not vegan someday. Thank you for listening. Hmmm never did see any recipes on the last digest that came today; especially the one for a " garden loaf. " Gosh that sounds good. I'll have to look in my Moosewood cookbooks and see if there is anything there; but then a certain format is followed here oops I forgot. Take care everyone and have a lovely and safe weekend. Guest guest
hi linda, do you know that Indians are and have been vegetarians for thousands of years, and they are probably the first race on earth to realise that humans are designed and supposed to be vegetarians not only ethically, morally but also biologically. so take heart, learn from the masters of vegetarianism i.e the Indians and discover a whole new world of cuisine, which is nutritious and tasty, spicy unlike the bland fare of the western culinary spread. I suggest, you go to your nearest Indian grocery store, there is one everywhere in US and Europe, and probably run by an Indian, who will guide you in picking up the right stuff and also tips on how to prepare the stuff. If even this doesn't work, let me know. and I get back to you with some typical recipes. may god guide you to find the right chow. thanks manmauji Linda <blknewfi wrote: Hello Everyone, Haven't written here for a while and for the last month or so I traveled from MI to Richmond/Vancouver in B.C., Canada for a series of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments for MS. Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group and your email caught my attention. Ginger is a good thing to try. You can just boil the water and cook it with brown sugar to avoid the spicy flavor. If you don't use sugar because it's acidic you may want to use Stevia or other sweetner. Ginger supposes " warms " your body according to ancient Chinese saying. You can grind it to very fine and add to your dressing or meal. Hope this helps.
