Guest guest
Hi everyone! I too am new to this group. I decided to give up meat last December 29th, after reading a lot about Mad Cow disease and cruilty to factory farm animals. I was so so moved by what I learned that I immediately gave up all meat, eggs, and dairy as well as giving away all my leather products. I still eat wild seafood though. This change has not been difficult except when traveling. I have read some really great books, such as " Eat to Live " by Joel Fuhrman, M.D.and " The McDougall Program for Women " , that have helped to motivate me as well as giving my my first vegitarian recipes. I recommend these books as well as visiting, www.meatyourmeat.com., Thanks.

Guest guest
Hi everyone. I'm also new to this wonderful group. I have only been vegetarian for a month and a half and PETA'S " MEET YOUR MEAT " was definitely a factor in my decision. After I had done my research into vegetarianism, I felt like I had no choice but to give up meat. I just ate tofu for the first time this weekend and loved it, so I'm excited about that. So excited, in fact, that I just ordered a big ol' book of tofu recipes from Amazon.
