Guest guest
#6 Hi, Someone will probably get this through prior to me; but just in case, TVP is Textured Vegetable Protein. I believe is is usually soy granules, and you can add them to soups, make chili with them or anything that you can think of that you think they might work in. I made a yummy Cannellini bean soup yesterday with veggies and added TVP besides barley and seasonings. I did make chili with TVP once and the person who was also eating the chili with me; didn't even realize that it wasn't meat. Yay! Have fun, be safe, & take care, Linda ---- Veg-Recipes 10/04/04 20:17:04 Veg-Recipes Digest Number 2180
Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the group. I love to cook healthful, easy vegetarian meals. I live in Sacramento, California. I wanted to mention in response to Susan's post that sour cream often has gelatin in it, which of course isn't vegetarian. In reference to marshmallows, I think they can contain gelatin too. Also, I've heard that some doughnuts contain beef fat in the glaze. So be careful with these foods if your vegetarianism is strict. Laura-Marie ***** There are meatless hot dogs, refried beans in the can come in vegetarian and they can be rolled in a tortilla with cheese, sour cream, lettuce etc. The other boys will love burritoes also. Canned baked beans come in vegetarian style. Smores are vegan, so are pancakes, donuts, hot cocoa, spagetti. Its not as hard as you think. If someone in the troop has a food saver they can make vegan meals in bags that can be boiled. Vegan food doesn't spoil as easily as meated food so its easier to have camping. good luck susan ===== What the world has done to you, Truth can undo. Guest guest
I would like a receipe for Masala Dosa. I understand that it is a popular Indian dish , especially for small get together. If anyone has it , please email it. Thanks Saji H P _______________________________ Declare Yourself - Register online to vote today! http://vote.
