I have these in my files from who knows where, but I haven't tried any of them. * Exported from MasterCook * Cashew Oat Burgers Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Veggie Burgers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups water 1/4 cup Bragg's Liquid Aminos 1/4 cup olive oil 2 medium onions 2 cloves garlic 2 Tbsp. yeast flakes 2 cups rolled oats 2/3 c. cashews Blend everything, except oats and cashews, together until smooth. OR Finely chop onion and garlic. Combine with other ingredients except oats and cashews. Then pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. After bringing to a boil, sprinkle oats and cashews over. Press down. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes. Stir. Drop by tablespoons onto a prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Flip. Bake another 10 minutes. Bragg's Aminos 1 medium chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. basil 1 Tbsp. Bakon Yeast 1/4 tsp. Italian Seasoning 3 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup walnut -- pean, or sunflower meal (nuts or seeds ground up) Boil all but the oats and nuts together for 5 minutes. Then add the oats and nuts. Stir and return to a boil. Remove from heat. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. Form into burgers on a cookie sheet one of the following ways: Use a burger press. Form by spooning into a wide mouth jar ring and pressing down. Lift ring and repeat. This is a great method! Drop by spoonfuls onto a prepared cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Flip. Bake an additional 15 minutes on second side. Excellent on sandwiches or vegan gravy. These freeze well. Assoc. : 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 * Exported from MasterCook * Blender Oat Burgers Recipe By :Muriel Beltz Serving Size : 50 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Veggie Burgers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups cold water 7 cups water -- boiling 2 large onions -- diced and sauteed 1 cup walnuts -- chopped or ground coarse 1 cup sunflower seeds -- ground coarse 1 Tablespoon sweet basil 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning -- flakes 1/4 teaspoon oregano 9 cups oatmeal -- not instant 1 cup Bragg's Liquid Aminos 1/4 cup nutritional yeast Chop the onions in a blender with one cup of cold water. Add to boiling water. Put the sunflower seeds into the blender and " grind " with another cup of the cold water. Add all the seasonings and flavorings. Add nuts. Add oats and stir. Let set until it cools enough where you can work with it comfortably. Once cooled, spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Use a patty press or place a large jar ring on the sheet and fill the jar ring with patty filling, and then level it off with a knife. Repeat process until all the patties are made. Then bake in 350° oven for about 40 min. Turn once while cooking.
