Guest guest
No recipe from me this time. I just thought I would share what has been happening at our home. My son was diagnosed with Celiac 7.5 years ago when he was 19 months old. We never knew who had it in our family. Well I finally got my husband to get the blood work done for Celiac, and today we got the results. The blood work was abnormal. My huband refuses to believe that he could have Celiac and wants to follow up with a G.I. that is fine with me. I will be calling around our area to find one that understands Celiac and families with it. My husband has been dealing a lot with health issues, was told last week that he had to go on a special diet because he has high blood pressure and he is border line diabetic. So for the last week I have had him on a low sodium, fat, sugar and carbohydrate diet. He has lost 6 pounds and his blood pressure has been in the normal ranges for the last few days. But now with this news he feels awful, does not want to except it. I am sure he has this, and am glad to get the proof. But I feel horrible for my husband as well, and know that this will be very hard on him. I have offered to go gluten free with him, if it will help him not to be tempted in the house. But he said he would not talk about it until we see the G.I. But I am rambling now. Thanks for listening to me and letting me get some of this out.
