Guest guest
Have you seen our new folder - " Gifts in a Jar " ? I'm still trying to find all the recipes for these (they are in all sorts of categories), but there's a few in there now. , sahmomof8@a... wrote: > I LOVE mixes in a jar--and I love chickpeas! Guest guest
Chickpeas & Rice Pour the following into a one quart jar, cover with lid, and shake: 1 cup brown rice 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. dried parsley leaves 1/4 tsp. cumin 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 1/2 tsp. chicken-style seasoning 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. oregano pinch of sage Additional ingredients: 1 can chick peas/garbanzo beans 2 cups boiling water Bragg's Liquid Aminos Use a non-stick spray on a casserole dish with cover and then pour this mixture into it. Add 2 cups boiling water and one can chick peas (garbanzo beans) and stir. Add a little Bragg's Liquid Aminos to taste and then bake this covered in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Easy and delicious. Serve with your favourite blend of steamed vegetables for a complete meal. Tip: Make up portions of dry ingredients ahead of time and store them in baggies or in a pretty jar and share them with friends.
